About Dr. Anousheh

Anousheh Shayestehpour, EdD, MEd, FAC-COR, is an award-winning educator, administrator, research scientist and communications expert with a 15+ year record of success designing learning programs and leading digital transformations across K-12 and Higher Ed. 

At 19 years old, she was the youngest graduate of George Mason University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism.

She received her Master's in Education from The George Washington University and her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of California, Los Angeles.

She is a world traveler & intercultural communications expert, fluent in Spanish & Farsi.

Prior to joining IES, Anousheh spent eight years developing experiential learning programs and leading academic departments at the University of California, Los Angeles. 

She most notably served as Director of Lifelong Learning at UCLA, where she conducted research and applied evidence to drive program growth. During her tenure, Anousheh led a complete digital transformation of the institute, expanding campuses and programming across Los Angeles, establishing the institute's first scholarship program, and developing a network of free events and inter-generational research and volunteer opportunities for older adults nationwide. At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic she led the institute's thousands of students and instructors in a smooth and rapid transition to remote learning, designing and launching a new LMS and registration system that is still in use today.  A communications and management expert, she authored blogs, newsletters, developed marketing campaigns, designed videos, webinars, websites, and led presentations across UCLA and national conferences.
